Westlake Continues To Approve Additional Developments

Westlake Approves Development Consisting of 55 Homes

A preliminary site evaluation for a 55-house addition in the Solana Hills area of Westlake was approved at the May 20 council meeting. The location is near Sam School Road and SH 114, south of Solana Boulevard.

Lovett Real Estate Development has 32.8 acres with plans for 55 houses and 12 open spaces. Council approved the preliminary site evaluation and will wait for the civil engineering report and a full site plan to be presented in future meetings.

The specifics

Adam Williams, representing the commercial owner/developer, said there will be four different types of houses, including eight patio houses and 11 townhomes. The latter faces SH 114, which led to some questions about landscaping.

Council member Mike Asselta asked if the garages on the townhomes are going to be visible on SH 114 and Williams said they would be. Asselta inquired if there be landscaping that would help limit the view of the garages, as well as limit noise coming from the highway when a full plan is presented.

What else?

Williams added there will be 36 guest parking spots in the development and with parallel parking in the many green space areas, an additional eight to 10 spots could be added.
