Welcome to Westlake Academy
Schools are a major draw for residents of Westlake. Westlake is a knowledge based community and in addition to the highly ranked public school choices of Carroll ISD and Keller ISD the Town of Westlake has its own charter school, the Westlake Academy, featuring an International Baccalaureate Program for grades K-12 with about 850 students.
Westlake Academy is a community-owned International Baccalaureate charter school whose mission is to achieve academic excellence and to develop life long learners who become responsible global citizens. As an International Baccalaureate school we are dedicated to developing caring, knowledgeable, inquiring, college-bound young people who will help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural respect and understanding.

The International Baccalaureate® (IB) is a non-profit educational foundation, motivated by its student-focused mission and offers high quality programmes of international education to a worldwide community of schools.
Westlake Academy, the fifth IB World School in the United States, offers all three IB programmes, primary years programme, middle years programme & diploma programme, for students in grades K-12 desiring to develop the intellectual, personal, emotional and social skills to live, learn, and work in a rapidly globalizing world.
